No time for commentary tonight. The Warriors won game one 7-5 and lost game two 7-4.
A five-run fifth inning fueled the game one win. Robert Hogg scored every time he stepped to the plate and earned the win in relief of Max Versteegh, who pitched four strong innings.
A five-run first inning fueled the game two loss. Jordy Brown went the distance, but allowed only one earned run in five innings. He also scored half the Warrior runs.

Nothing funny about this comedy of errors
The Warriors went toe to toe with the Prairie Hawks Black squad for four innings on a blustery Friday night game at McKinley Field. The wheels fell off in the fifth inning, however, and the Warriors fumbled away any chance at a third straight win.
Prairie prevailed 9-3, leaving the Warriors at 5-5 on the year with a pair of weekend doubleheaders slated.
With 11 total errors, the Warriors wasted an outstanding pitching performance by Zach Zingula. Making his team-leading fourth start of the year, Zingula went five innings while allowing just three hits and walking three batters. He faced 26 batters and none of the seven runs scored against him were earned.
The Warriors matched Prairie with three hits, the biggest a second-inning triple by Robert Hogg. He scored on a bunt by Mitch Blades to tie the game at one. Prairie led 1-0 after one inning, 2-1 after two, 3-2 after three and four. Zingula drove in Patrick Karamitros in the top of the fifth to tie the game.
Then it got ugly.
Following a walk, the Warriors committed errors on three consecutive at-bats. After a two RBI double by Prairie's 12th batter, Prairie led 7-3 after five. Ryan Niemeyer was stranded at third base in the Warrior sixth before Prairie tacked on two more error-aided runs in the bottom of the inning.
Next up is the Cedar Rapids Angels for a doubleheader beginning at noon Saturday at McKinley. Sunday brings Clear Creek to town for a 3 p.m. doubleheader. The home stand closes Monday night against Swisher Swat at 6 p.m.

Warriors overcome sloppy start
The Warriors opened May with five walks and two errors before settling down and cruising to an 18-6 victory over Cougars White on Thursday.
Max Versteegh came in to relieve starting pitcher Michael Daughtery and silenced the Cougars' first-inning rally to earn the victory as the Warriors countered five Cougar runs with seven of their own. Ryan Niemeyer pitched three strong innings for the save and helped his cause by scoring three runs.
Leading 7-5 in the home half of the second inning, Robert Hogg set the tone with a home run to the right field line. That ignited a six-run rally the Cougars couldn't answer.
Patrick Karamitros continued to shine at catcher, scoring twice and batting in three while playing error free defense once again at the toughest position in baseball. (Sorry, but I have great admiration for catchers.)
Will Tuebel had a breakout game after taking one for the team in the first inning and getting his first hit of the season in the second. Jordy Brown had five stolen bases, which we will soon come to expect.
Two Warrior 13U players -- Matt Troendle and Jacob Rogers -- filled in nicely as track and musical conflicts prompted player substitutions. Rogers walked, stole two bases and scored the game's last run on a wild pitch in his fourth-inning appearance. Troendle started the game in right field and returned in the fourth to drive in a run on a grounder to third base.
Mitch Blades and Zach Zingula each overcame fielding errors by scoring two runs apiece. Blades also collected an RBI with his second-inning single to right field. Zingula drew blood, but scored on a highlight reel slide around the Cougar catcher in the fourth.
Although the weather forecast doesn't look favorable, the Warriors are scheduled to play Prairie black at 6 p.m. Friday. Double headers follow on Saturday and Sunday against the Angels and Clear Creek. The home stand closes Monday night against Swisher Swat.
